Traditional Easter decorations and artistically decorated eggs, culinary delicacies and a music program await you at Vienna’s Easter markets in April.

The multimedia installation in the Stadtpark
Until 25 May 2025, light installations will take place in the Stadtpark from dusk until 11 p.m. in honor of Johann Strauss.

Vienna celebrates Johann Strauss year 2025
The year 2025 will be marked by the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss’ birth. There will be a major Johann Strauss exhibition at the Theater Museum until June 23, 2025. Many numerous musical events invite Strauss lovers to Vienna throughout 2025!
To mark the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss II and the 50th anniversary of the European Space Agency, Vienna is embarking on a mission of cosmic proportions – and sending the Danube Wal tz where it belongs: to the stars. Secure your favorite note from the Danube Waltz. Participation is free of charge.
When all 12,743 notes have been awarded, the waltz is sent into space.
