Christmas markets 2024
From mid-November until Christmas, Vienna’s most beautiful squares are once again transformed into magical Christmas markets. The smell of Christmas baking, hot punch and roasted almonds fills the air. The old town and shopping streets are decorated with festive lights and put the city in a Christmassy mood.
Vienna celebrates Johann Strauss year 2025
The coming year 2025 will be dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss’ birth. From December 4, 2024 to June 23, 2025, there will be a major Johann Strauss exhibition at the Theatermuseum. Many numerous musical events will invite Strauss lovers to Vienna throughout 2025!
